About Us
Nestled between the Times Picayune and Coleman's on Euphrosine and South Broad Streets, eight blocks away from New Orlean’s Superdome, ArtEgg Studios was found in 2001 by Dr. Esther Dyer. Since its inception, the ArtEgg has developed into a site for cultural production, education, and preservation.
ArtEgg Studios, encompassing 48,000 square feet , comprises a two-story warehouse, formerly known as L.Frank Co.’s American Beauty Eggs. The first floor acts as vaults for film artists, gallery and collectors’ storage as well as workshops for fine craftsmen, while the second floor houses mainly artist studios and non-profit organizations. We are proud to be home to Louisiana’s Alliance for Affordable Energy, who will be outfitting a Smart Building Resource Center this fall and to American Friends Service.
The ArtEgg building is a multi-use facility that houses artists, collectors, and community advocates, all of whom share the philosophy of rebuilding New Orleans in culturally and environmentally sustainable ways and to being a facilitator for production and public interface.
